Special Needs

Ms. Drake became involved in Special Needs Trusts in large part due to her personal history dealing with individuals with special needs.  Her aunt is developmentally disabled, and when her grandparents died in the early 1970s, there were no special needs trusts available.  Ms. Drake also has a sibling with special needs, and has seen her parents struggle to ensure that he will always be cared for.  Ms. Drake has a passion to ensure that individuals with special needs receive all the benefits available to them.

Special Needs Trusts
We can assist you in sifting through the Special Needs Trusts options that are available and finding the option that is most appropriate for you and your loved one.

Guardianships
On occasions of physical and mental disability, courts appoint guardians in order for one person or entity to make decisions for another, who is unable to to make life and legal decisions on their own.  In those instances when an individual in unable to take care of themselves, earn a living, and/live independently, Drake Law can set up a ward, or guardian, to make decisions for the incapacitated person.
